DouLaurin (“we,” “us”) provides birth and postpartum doula support across Western North Carolina. This notice explains what information we collect through this website and our birth-plan intake form, how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect only what we need to support you, and we never sell your information.

Information we collect

When you contact us or complete the intake form, you may share:

• Contact details such as your name, email, phone number, and address.
• Pregnancy and birth-planning details you choose to provide, such as your estimated due date, birth location, care provider, and your preferences for labor, birth, feeding, and postpartum support.
• Any notes, accommodations, or context you decide to share with us.

Some of this is personal information (PII), and some may be health-related or sensitive (sometimes called PHI). You decide how much to share; fields beyond the basics are optional.

How we use your information

• To respond to you and schedule a consultation.
• To understand your wishes and help you prepare a personalized birth plan.
• To provide and coordinate the doula support you request.
• To send you messages about your care, where you have opted in.

Service providers we use

We use trusted service providers to operate securely. Your intake information is stored in our client-management system, GoHighLevel, which serves as our system of record for client relationships and communications. Our website is hosted on Vercel, and form submissions are processed through Cloudflare. These providers process your information on our behalf and under their own security and privacy commitments.

Storage and security

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections and access is limited to those who need it to support you. We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

Text and email communications

If you opt in to text messages, message and data rates may apply and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. You can unsubscribe from emails using the link in any message. Consent to messaging is not a condition of receiving support.

Your choices

You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you have shared with us. To make a request, please contact us. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Not medical care

DouLaurin provides non-medical doula support: emotional, physical, and informational support. It is not medical care or advice and does not replace your physician, midwife, or other licensed providers. Always consult your qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions.
