Encouraging, judgment-free feeding support.

Feeding and Lactation Support

Non-clinical feeding support offers encouragement, comfort, and practical information as you feed your baby, with referrals to clinical lactation providers when specialized care is needed. DouLaurin supports Western North Carolina families with whatever feeding journey is right for them.

What to expect

Feeding can be joyful and it can be hard, sometimes both in the same hour. Supportive, judgment-free encouragement helps you feel confident, whether you breastfeed, chestfeed, pump, combination-feed, or formula-feed.

This is non-clinical support. When a clinical concern arises, we will encourage you to connect with an IBCLC or your medical provider, and help you find the right local resource.

  • Comfort, positioning ideas, and practical non-clinical tips
  • Help recognizing when to involve a clinical provider, with referrals
